Overall timeline

Give here the overall timeline of the operation, including the expected instrument operating configurations.

NEAR EARTH COMMISSIONING PHASE (NECP)

RPW-PAS filter tuning

The purpose of this campaign is to define the configuration of the RPW filtering parameters to be applied during the whole mission.

The four parameters to be tuned are the following:

  • SY_LFR_PAS_FILTER_TBAD: perturbation duration
  • SY_LFR_PAS_FILTER_MODULUS: modulus of the coarse time defining the perturbation instant
  • SY_LFR_PAS_FILTER_OFFSET: offset added for computing the perturbation instant
  • SY_LFR_PAS_FILTER_SHIFT: time-shift relatively to the timecode occurrence identifying the perturbation start

The operations linked to the RPW-PAS filtering tune campaign are not fully defined.

ROC

  • Switch on SWA
    • SWA-PAS max tension 6kV. This voltage is not verifiable in the lab à risk for BIAS
    • Voltage sweep for SWA to verify the max voltage supportable by RPW.
    • On flight, build up a table SWA V vs RPW V to be used during the mission.
  • Validation SWA-PAS synchronization (critical for LFR) → COM or CP?? Considering a simultaneous switching of RPW and PAS during COM to test the synchro.
  • S/C potential → Coordinated with SWA. Verify the possible range of values.
  • Procedure to activate S20 and to require the TM. Coordinate with other instruments.
  • SWA synchro
  • Test of wheels filtering
