About of the RPW Instrument Modes
General
The RPW instrument modes are used in the RPW ISM in order to distinguish the different states of the instrument with constant power consumption (but not necessarly with constant TM bit rate).
In practice, since the RPW power profile variations are pretty stable over software modes (except for the SERVICE mode), the instrument and software modes are quite the same. In the case of the SERVICE mode, the power consumption worst case is applied (i.e., all equipment ON).
Instrument modes
Table below gives the list of instrument modes, a description and the expected power consumption in Watts for the hot/cold cases.

RPW_SERVICE | RPW in SERVICE mode
RPW_SCIENCE | RPW in SCIENCE mode (SURVEY_NORMAL, SURVEY_BURST or SBM_DETECTION)
