Information about the Boom deployment operation during the LEOP.


General

Purpose & Objectives

Prepare the Boom deployement RPW-related operations during the LEOP.

Working Group Members

RPW sub-system teams will also contribute to define the RPW modes to be set during the deployement.

Operation preparation

Context & assumptions

RPW will be switched-off during the LEOP, except during the Boom and ANT deployments operations.

During the Boom deployement the MAG instrument will be also switched-on.

The SSMM will be available.

Overall timeline

At SOLO level

The Boom deployment will start at T0=TBD.

The following operations will be performed at the platform level.

The overall timeline of the Boom deployement is not fully known. Here is a first draft of what it is required from the RPW team.

Especially, a first switching-on of the instrument is required at T0 - 24 hours, in order to perform a SFT (duration ~1h20).
