Page about the RPW low rate configuration.


Description

The galaxy configuration is specifically dedicated to measure the radio galaxy background spectrum at high frequencies (i.e. > 1 MHz).

In this configuration, only the TNR-HFR receiver is ON in order to reduce as much as possible the interferences with other RPW sub-systems. Moreover, the "EMC quiet" mode must be requested at mission level if possible, when operating in this configuration.

The SCIENCE SURVEY_NORMAL submode has an enough time resolution to run the galaxy configuration.

Assumption

The daily data rate shall not exceed the EID-A (5.5 kbps).
