Weekly ROC activity related to the routine operations

The table below gives the expected weekly calendar relative to the routine operations activity at the ROC (TBC). The times are given in local time (Paris, France).

MondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturdaySunday

??:?? - Deliver RPW STP IOR to SOC for the next STP week in 10 days (see note below)
??:?? - SBM event selection telecon??:?? - Bias current setting submission

Notes:

  • STP IORs are delivered in a batch to cover a time-range of 1 week.

  • This time-range of execution begins on a Saturday

  • The STP IOR files must be delivered to SOC on the Tuesday 10 days prior to this Saturday

Bias current setting operation life-cycle

Principle

During the mission, the ROC will have to regularly control the Bias current to ensure that the local plasma and ANT potential are equal (i.e., 0). The Bias current on each ANT is set by TC (TC_DPU_SET_BIASi, where=1, 2, or 3). The determination of the current value to set is derived from the analysis of the Bias sweeping data. These sweepings are triggered by TC (TC_DPU_START_BIAS_SWEEP). It has been decided to perform one Bias sweeping every week. The current range to be applied during a Bias sweeping might not change during the whole mission, and will have to be determinated from a first series of sweepings performed during the CP (TBC).
