This page gives information about the RPW Flight Procedures (RFP).
About the RPW Flight Procedures
According to the FOP preparation plan, the flight procedures are divided into three categories: the Flight Control Procedures (FCP), the Contingency Recovery Procedures (CRP) and the Commissioning Procedures (COM).
The RPW procedures files are archived in the /Procedures folder of the https://gitlab.obspm.fr/ROC/OpsLib gitlab repository (restricted access). A test version of this repository is available in https://gitlab.obspm.fr/ROC/OpsLib-Test (restricted access).
For each of these categories, a table is given with the following columns:
- Name – Name of the procedure (according to the ESA convention)
- Description - Short description of the procedure (to be reported into the info sheet of the Excel export)
- Instrument mode at start
- Instrument mode at end
- Author(s) – Entity that creates the procedure
- Total duration – Total duration of the procedure in seconds (including the minimal time delay to be let after the last TC execution)
- Minimal time delay at the end - Minimal time delay in seconds to be let at the end of the procedure execution (i.e., to be let after the last TC execution)
- Status – Status of the procedure (i.e., "Written", "In Progress", "To Be Written", "Tested", "Submitted", "Accepted", "Rejected", "To Be Updated")
The possible RPW instrument modes are listed here.
Editing a procedure
The SOC provides to the instrument teams an online "Procedure Builder" than can be used to create/edit procedures. The site dedicated to RPW is available here. Nevertheless, the SOC cannot guarantee that this tool will be maintained during the whole mission, and the instrument teams are invited to develop and maintain their own tool. In the case of the ROC, the FIGARO tool, accessible via the MUSIC Web portal will replace at medium term the SOC procedure builder.
The procedures are delivered as MOIS import format files, which are formatted 97-2003 Excel files (see the FOP procedure input ICD for more details).
The naming convention can be found in the FOP preparation plan.
IMPORTANT
Please visit the operation guidelines page before editing a procedure!
